Games: Sega Saturn

The Sega Saturn. While a somewhat successful console in Japan, the console was barely a spec in other countries. Regardless, it still managed to sell 9.5 million units worldwide despite its issues. It was originally released in 1994 in Japan, and saw a reign of 6 years.

It's almost, ALMOST overkill to have an entire section to just two releases, but what can I say? I'm a tad pedantic and like separating all my games by the system they were on. It certainly makes catalogueuing very easy. Not to mention, there are quite a number of striking differences presented in the Saturn renditions of the games. Biohazard was the only game of the series to make it to the Saturn in 1997. Interestingly, Biohazard 2 was originally going to receive a Saturn port but it was scrapped. Potentially due to the fact the Saturn was in decline overseas, despite strong support and wide releases in Japan, though more than likely a technical feat they considered too daunting given the step-up the game made compared to the original. The system ended up being discontinued in 2000.
