Information:
Claire is captured by Umbrella and imprisoned on a remote island in the South Seas. Immediately after her arrival there a bombing by an unknown military force frees her, along with the t-Virus and a number of powerful bio-organic weapons. She meets a mysterious man named Steve, and together they set out on an escape fraught with peril as insane traps and monsters set by the Ashford siblings—descendants of one of Umbrella's founders—stand in their way. Will they survive? And will Chris arrive in time to save his sister? The complete novelisation of the game CODE: Veronica is now available for the first time in Japanese.
The text is as true to the original as possible, translation wise, and was translated by Kenji Kazama (風間 賢二.) In this case that's a bad thing because this is the most awful book of the series done by S.D. Perry—incredibly rushed, half the size of other releases, and reads okay-ish until about halfway where it then turns into a trainwreck with the most out of character Wesker seen in officially licensed material and the entire last half of the game is compressed into the last quarter of the novel. Easily the point where S.D. Perry was clearly no longer enjoying the writing, was having issues with a deadline for it, or refused to actually look into the source story better.

On the upside: more awesome art by Wolfina.
