Uncle Tobys is a brand here in Australia which produce oat products, cereals, and snacks such as fruit roll-ups and museli bars. During 1994 they had a promotion with Timezone and Sega, where people could send their barcodes from marked packs as part of "Uncle Tobys Timezone and Sega Stuff" to win an NBA Jam Tournament Edition arcade cabinet as the grand prize. Other prizes included Mega Drives, Game Gears, and Timezone merch and party passes.
Buying products that were running these promotions also included trading cards which were used to give entrants more info on how to participate, but also as a collectable featuring Sega characters, and Ecco happened to get one featuring the Tides of Time art.
