Title: Sega Club Crayon Coloring Fun Poster (セガクラブ楽しいクレヨン塗りポスター)
Media: Poster
Released: ~1994-1995
Scans: Poster | Colouring Page
Information:
This was given away by SEGA in products to promote their new Sega Club, a kids focused branding of Sega of America made to appeal to a younger audience and show that the Genesis wasn't just for the teenagers that it was often marketed towards. This fold out poster has two sides. On the main side it shows off the games in the Sega Club range, including Ecco Jr, along with info on what you'd get if you joined the club and hardware they were trying to push.
The other side is a colouring page using the artwork for Wacky Worlds—which features Ecco as well, which could be coloured in. Though, arguably, the kind of finish on the paper would make it a woeful time to try colour even with pencils or crayons, and markers would be a no-go. It's still a lovely piece of history on something that wasn't entirely successful for Sega of America, but featured our favourite dolphin fairly extensively.
