One of the OGs of pkmncollectors. Most people around the internet call me Cally which is a very affectionate name based off an old character of mine, but you can also call me cacodemum. Many people from the days of yesteryear from pkmncollectors or collectorviper would know me as viper.fox.
I love bird Pokémon so much. Outside of merchandise, I'm currently working on a shiny living dex in the games.
What is 「beak BLAST!」 ?
An insane signature move that can only be learnt by Toucannon; the only flying type move in the franchise thusfar that can burn a target. Figured it was a fitting name for this place. I wanted something punchy and fun for a very under-loved 'mon when it comes to merchandise. While I primarily am aiming for Toucannon merch I will also have merch of the rest of its evolution line catalogued on here too, albeit probably a lot more selectively given Pikipek really got a good amount of things back in the halcyon days of Generation VII.
Like many Alolan Pokémon if they weren't a starter, legendary, Ultra Beast, Mimikyu, or Vulpix, Toucannon was very left out of merch—not even getting a moncolle figure or official plush (yet.) I hope to one day be the comprehensive catalogue for all Toucannon merchandise no matter how big or small.
What started your collection?
The games, of course. Toucannon returning to a game after being locked inside of SM/USUM for 7 years certainly helped throw an entire can of fuel on the fire. Then I found out one of the few merchandise pieces it had was a shiny Ga-Olé disk. Then Pokecen decided to realease a merch line with 11 new Toucannon things so now we're here. Oops.
How long have you been collecting?
For over 25 years if you're looking at my collections across the board outside of Pokémon alone. I used to have the largest Japanese TCG collection in Oceania before my passion for it fizzled out, along with my health making it very hard to keep up with cataloguing and even affording sets when Sun & Moon era began. I also used to have one of the most complete Pokédoll collections including a number of it's precursor Plush Plush (ぬいぐるみのぬいぐるみ) releases from 2001, and have also had some of the most complete collections of Arceus and Giratina items before moving on from those as well.
Why are your catalogue names for items in both English and Japanese?
It's partially a habit from my dual-language tagging on Viperhazard, but it's just smart given 99% of merch for the series comes from Japan. Providing dual names for things may make it easier for others to search for said items if they are a fellow Toucannon afficionado.
I can be reached on BlueSky, via email, or on discord which are all linked on the landing page.
