Whenever I think of Pokémon merchanidise, I honestly immediately think of plush toys and other soft squishy collectible friends. Plushes have been a staple of merch for the series since it began, and by the grace of almighty Arceus we've gotten a Slither Wing plush out the gate in 2024 which is a miracle given I didn't expect them to make cuddly merch of many paradox Pokémon beyond maybe Flutter Mane or Scream Tail—who also made their plush debut at the same time. (Here's hoping for more!)

Released by Pokemon Center Japan, this cute Slither Wing plush stands at a phenominal 30cm tall and is a LONG BUGGO clocking in 37cm from head to tail. I really like the patterns when it comes to the general Pokecen plush as they're often really nice proportionately and they're made with high quality fabric and detailing. Slither Wing has fully embroidered eyes and wings that have been bagged out for shaping, and an incredibly fluffy body that is a tactile dream. They've stitched the apex of the forewings together from both sides so that the wings don't simply flop over, along with the mid and hind wings to each other on each side to also stay upright. It's a nice choice as it allows them to retain shape like the design but not be made un-huggable with very stiff interfacing or boning inside of it.
